How I Reduced My Hours but Increased My Outputs

mind transformation work Apr 25, 2023

After being in a marketing training programme, where energy was heavily focused on doing more, I started to learn that the following paradigms were not for me:

“Rise and grind.”

“Hustle up.”

“5am club.”

I was part of this paradigm, but I realised it came at a cost that I was not willing to pay. Many of the entrepreneurs I work with have multiple businesses and people ask them how they do it all.

Their answer is that they do not do it all.

They are the vision setters, the experts and the leaders. They do not need to know how to do it all.

At the start of my business I wanted to learn how to do it all. So I learnt to build websites, create videos and make social media posts but, here is the truth -

I was rubbish at those things.

Things really shifted for me when I invested more time in being the visionary, not the worker.

Why? Because it forced me to make powerful decisions….

And true success is about making the decisions that allow you to accomplish what is meaningful with ease.

As world leading success coach Michael Neill says…

Working harder is not the answer.

Waiting for the Universe to align is not the answer either.

Creating a vision for your future and acting on it is.

When I started to adopt this approach, I saw my revenue increase, I wrote twice as many blog articles and I got anonymously nominated for two awards.

It has been special for me and I hope it is for you too.

Here are 15 ways I reduced my hours yet increased my outputs -

1. Create a massively transformative purpose

2. Select no more than 3 aims related to the purpose

3. Create projects within those aims

4. Choose 5 'big moves' that will move the needle onto those projects

5. Estimate the time for the projects

6. Schedule it

7. Elevate your emotional state before working

8. Work without external distractions

9. Continuously work on your internal distractions

10. Leave 'abundance' slots daily, weekly and monthly

11. Your work will fill the time you give it

12. Leave whitespace for synchronicities

13. Get help (seriously)

14. Invest more time in envisioning and less in 'working hard'

15. Make space to tap into your sixth sense
