A Cinematic Experience - 15 Tips to Create Your Future

mind spirit transformation Mar 14, 2023

Forget goals, delaying happiness and 'waiting for the Universe' to align. I'm here to challenge your thinking so you can feel more empowered, so you can move from complaints to compassion to creation.

What if you started to play an active role in creating your moment-by-moment experience?

What if you embodied the idea that you are the conductor, orchestrating your cells, DNA and chemical reactions throughout your body?

What would you love to create?

This is a photo of me and my son watching a movie this weekend.

I love watching movies because of the multi-sensory experience, the way the movie builds and releases tension and the mystery of not knowing what happens next.

Imagine if we approached our missions this way.

Where are you clinging tightly onto an idea of what should happen next? Are you fully present in the now? Do you make time to release tension?

It reminded me of a few transformational stories:

  1. A Silva Synchronicity

A few years ago, I studied the Silva Method where I learnt about the power of imagination and visualisation. For months, I focused my mind on creating a career where I would calmly stroll out into a home office and have deep conversations with people about success and fulfilment. Around 18 months later I had an insight - the exact moment from this visualisation was occurring right then. It was empowering. The multi-sensory experience was here and now, but it was the feelings that were the most important thing.

  2. Leaning Into Mystery

I was working with a client who was ready to leave their high-level job to follow their passion. After leaving, they had arranged some life-changing training for their new business, but it got canceled last minute. They felt frustrated and disappointed until they learnt to lean into the mystery and excitement. Until they learnt to detach. They found a new training that surpassed all expectations. They connected deeply with new friends and continued to move forward, all because they learnt to let go and create.

  3. "I Am Resonating Compassion"

When I coach my clients now, I have moved away from a rigid structure so we can dance and lean into the adventure of their mission. I was working recently with an entrepreneur who was very focused on the absence of what they wanted. They had a 'goal' but that goal was delaying their happiness. They continued to hustle, work hard and neglect their self-care. They had not learnt to release tension. It was only once they started to release their tension that they started to feel empowered, connected and in the flow. In their words, "I am resonating compassion, I feel it around me - things are happening with effortless flow". Opportunities, ideas and creativity were flowing to them because they started to create their experience.

What was your biggest insight from these stories? How will you create a cinematic experience of your mission? What do you need to let go of?

Here are my simple tips to start creating a future filled with joy, flow and freedom:

  1. Learn to see the unexpected as an exciting adventure.
  2. Release tension every hour, day and week, as it builds naturally.
  3. Accept this moment as it is while simultaneously intending how you wish to feel.
  4. Stop trying to do so much.
  5. Kindly stop listening to people who are not 'your people'.
  6. Create multi-sensory imaginary 'movies' of your future.
  7. Only think about these before sleep or immediately after waking.
  8. Invest the rest of your time in presence.
  9. Focus on the feelings; the rest is irrelevant.
  10. Goals are meaningless. Make the goal growth.
  11. Understand you do not need to do, be or have anything to have 'made it'.
  12. Continually keep your point of reference as YOU, not anyone or anything else.
  13. Always pay attention to your energy that will direct you.
  14. Preparation creates opportunities.
  15. Your resonance with your future identity fulfils them.

Lastly, I will leave you with a quote I love that may help you create a mission you love:

“A bird does not sing because it has an answer. It sings because it has a song.”

Sing your song with love and compassion. ENJOY the process.
