I Am Not the Coach for You

mind transformation work Feb 28, 2023

I have a confession to make - I haven't been serving you with full authenticity.

I haven't been sharing all parts of this journey, all parts of myself.

To commemorate this week's 100th blog episode, I would like to introduce a new series -

Believe In Growth Transformations.

Here we will dive deep into stories of transformation - my own and my clients, and distil the lessons from these journeys.

Through deep coaching, meditation and retreats, I have been going inwards to create a powerful mission that can ripple compassion out into the world.

This mission is not a 1 or 3-year goal. It's a deep long-term commitment to weave compassion into the fabric of successful entrepreneurs.

Recently it came to me - I can't be the coach for everybody, and that's OK.

If you are one of my people, then this will resonate and, if not, with love and compassion feel free to unsubscribe and leave this list.

I'm not here for vanity numbers, ego and followers.

I'm here for tear-inducing, goosebump-creating transformational change.

I'm not trying to build an audience like most seem to be these days.

I'm building a community of compassionate entrepreneurs.

A deep community where the inspiration comes from within, not purely from the leader.

In a world of superficial exchanges, deep connection is what we all crave.

So, here it is - I am not the coach for you if....

1. You Do Not Have a Burning Desire to Create or Fulfil a Powerful Mission That Serves Humanity

You are the goal. The deeper you look into yourself, the more you see others.

Make your sole intention service.

It's why I work with a client whose mission is to bring the corporate world closer to their authentic selves through traditional ancient practices.

It's why another of my clients is dedicated to giving to a local charity supporting women through domestic violence.

It's why one more client wants to break the mental health taboo in their home country of Singapore.

With a burning desire, you will be growing so fast that you will need a deeper level of accountability and support.

2. You Are Not Willing to Explore Blindspots and Engage With the Deep Inner Work

If you don't believe you have blindspots, you will remain blind to your blocks.

This is why top sports stars, CEOs and music moguls invest in the billion-dollar coaching industry.

Because it helps them see what they cannot see.

You can only serve others as deeply as you are willing to go yourself.

The more you make the implicit explicit, the more fulfilled you become.

Your willingness to touch your spiritual essence will cause fear to melt away and creativity to flow through you.

But it has a dark side - your willingness to connect with your true self can leave you feeling isolated, as your beliefs may become so radically different. This is why it is essential to have support on this journey.

3. You Are Too Slow to Decide or Implement

A lack of definite decision is one of the core reasons people don't experience true success and fulfilment.

I've seen clients make powerful decisions that have led to taking their first week of holiday without email in 25 years.

I've seen them let go of million-pound deals because it didn't feel right, only to find out it became true.

I've seen them decide and commit to coaching before everything was perfect.

And those who don't make a definite decision, and implement, end up riding the rollercoaster of emotions like everyone else.

They don't see the quantum and exponential shifts because they need to start from zero again with each encounter.

Definite decisions and implementation give you something everyone craves...

Momentum.

4. You Do Not Have a History of Success or Believe in Yourself

I'm not here to help you believe in yourself. I'm here to help you believe in what lies beyond your belief.

I'm not here to fix. I'm here to challenge.

This is not remedial coaching. It's deeply transformative life-altering work.

I'm not here to please, I'm here to serve you.

Through this service, it's true that you may heal your self-criticism, isolation or overthinking but that is not the goal.

The goal is YOU and self-mastery - the fulfilment of meaningful goals with ease and the continuous expansion of who YOU are.

So you can GIVE to others more abundantly.

Setting up a training academy in a company, coming off prescription medication and healing estranged relationships - these are all examples of accomplishing beyond initial belief.

None of this would have been possible if these clients had zero self-belief.

There is a really easy way to know if someone believes in themselves enough - take a look at how much time, energy and money they invest in their personal growth.

Those who invest the most, believe the most. It's why I block off 12 hours per week for my growth, and I have three coaches.

If you want to know what lies beyond possibility for you, start investing.

5. You Only Seek Help When You 'Need' It

High performers don't need help, they want it.

They don't wait until there are problems, they use expertise to help them transcend problems.

Another large obstacle that most face on their mission is that they struggle to seek help.

They buy into the mindset that they are the only ones experiencing the challenges they have.

Frequently my clients message me to ask whether a piece of content or email was about them.

Often it isn't about them. It's because all of my clients experience very similar challenges in the context of their mission.

If you only seek help when you 'need' it, then you will be firefighting.

This isn't about prevention, treatment or cure. It's about potential, exponential growth and committed contribution.

Nobody needs this. The question is - do you want it?

I'm deeply fascinated by compassionate entrepreneurs.

People who are going inwards to give outwards.

It's these ripples that we need in our world.
