Mantra... double the time or half the goal

 1.  Past performance

Always look at your history and critically ask yourself - how long will this project take.

Then consider doubling the time or halving the goal.

2. Goal Window

Instead of having a fixed date to complete the goal, set a window to maximise your chance of completion and build momentum.

3. Tiered outcomes

Instead of setting the bar too high, set 3 bars. A minimum result, a better result and an excellent result.

Most of us shoot for excellence too soon, which only supports the negative narrative we suffer from.

Whilst I would never advocate judging or labelling others, judgement is vital when assessing time and thinking critically.

By judging the performance, not the person, you can learn and grow.
