The 3A3 Method

mind spirit work May 26, 2023

What if I told you there is a process that can transform your happiness, health and performance?

A skill backed by over 10,000 research papers.

A skill intuitively practiced by Indian sages, mystics and monks.

A skill that the 'Greater Good Science Center' from Berkeley University is saying is the most important thing we can do for the health of ourselves and the planet

In one of the pits of my journey, after receiving a patient complaint, I delved into a period of self-reflection.

I was blaming myself for not being a 'good doctor'.

I felt like I was the only one who was going through such a challenging time.

I was stuck ruminating and overthinking every clinical decision I made.

I was frustrated, angry and sad.

Until one day intuition called me to read a book called the "Art of Happiness" by the Dalai Lama. It blew me away. I started to learn there was something that could transform my relationship with myself.

It could bridge the gap between:

- Negative thoughts and positive thoughts

- My subconscious mind and my conscious mind

- My head and my heart

- The ego 'me' and my true self

It wasn’t easy, but I committed to the path of self-compassion. I read books by esteemed researchers and writers like Professor Kristin Neff, Tara Brach and Chris Germer.

I started to realise that self-compassion wasn’t what people thought it was.

Self-compassion is not weak, lazy or unambitious.

It is not the same as self-esteem or even self-love.

Self-compassion is not empathy or sympathy.

I also noticed that self-compassion had some startling scientific findings including:

- It prevents anxiety and depression

- It makes you more giving

- It motivates you in the long run

- It increases your feelings of social connectedness

- It improves immune function, reduces pain and stress hormones

The most exciting part of self-compassion is the speed with which it can elevate your emotions

And, according to Barbara Fredrickson’s 'Broaden and Build Theory', elevated emotions do 2 things:

1) They help you see opportunities

2) They build your resilience

This is why the founders, leaders and change-makers I work with gain so much from learning this simple process. They turn dreams into reality whilst remaining fulfilled on the journey.

They become, as Vishen Lakhiani puts it:

“Unfuckwithable”.

Because they have the tools to create diamonds out of coal.

This is why, with a self-compassionate approach, I have seen my clients say no to toxic relationships, create record revenues and transform their health.

And I can, with confidence, teach you how to become more self-compassionate within minutes.

In fact, as part of the Saturday newsletter, you will receive 1 tool per week that I use with my high performing clients.

I am giving you my 3A3 method right here.

It is a fillable PDF to equip you to manage any emotional state.

I know how powerful it is as 100% of my clients who use this method report significantly increased scores in self-compassion

It is a very simple, quick and lasting method for self-compassion that you can use ANY time of the day.

It involves three steps - awareness, agreements and action.
